Decorate!
Nothing helps remind you of the excitement just around the corner than some colorful lights and an evergreen tree! Whether its your dorm room or living room, break out that box of decorations and start reminiscing about years past. Surrounding yourself with things from years past can be a great way to remember all the good things in life, and to reflect on what you are thankful for. Perhaps invite family and friends to help get everything done, and spend some time with people you love.
Movies and Music.
To help set the mood, turn on your favorite Christmas tunes. Whether it’s Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, or something more traditional, there’s something for every kind of setting.
A positive attitude.
As much fun as the holiday season can be, it is definitely a stressful time of year. From finding the right gift for everyone to traveling home to see family, nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems. But remember, this is a time for family and friends, a celebration of peace and love throughout the world. Keep in mind that everyone is doing their best, and maybe take a deep breath next time something doesn’t go your way.
Time by yourself.
With all chaos that goes into prepping for Christmas day, it is often hard to find a moment alone. But make sure you take a few seconds to really reflect on what this season means to you. It will make the whole experience that much more rewarding and joyful!
