Top 4 Things To Love About Fall

Some of us may have a better time easing into the colorful scenes and chillier weather of the fall, while others are struggling to find that spooky spirit and get their minds away from summer. Here's a few reasons for us all to get excited about this fall season!

1. Candles.

I don’t know about you, but I love all the fall scents Bath and Body Works has to offer! Pumpkin Apple (the best), Harvest Gathering, Leaves, Flannel, Sweater Weather, and so many more. They give a nice hint of fall to any room, and are just one of the many reasons to adore the season!

Decorations.

I love driving through my neighborhood and seeing everyone's houses decorated with skeletons, pumpkins, and all the fun fall decorations. It's something a lot of people really get into, so it's nice to see it almost everywhere. Not just the decorations, but some of the great deals that come with them! I recently picked up a few decorations at Walmart just to start decorating, and I got plenty of cute mini pumpkins to place around the house for $2.98. Even if you are a broke college student, there are always little ways to get into the spooky spirit!

3. Fall Festivities.

We are all suckers for the apple orchards, cider mills, and pumpkin patches. I'll be the first to admit it! It's such a fun time to get together with loved ones and pick apples or the perfect pumpkin. Using those apples to make apple pie, carving those pumpkins and scooping all the guck out, drinking cider and tasty cinnamon donuts with family, watching all the scary movies you can. It's all so much fun squished into a few months.

Treats

Trick or Treat? Treats! Fall brings us some of the best and most fun treats of the year. First up, pumpkin spice or just pumpkin flavor in general. It's so popular, my favorite pumpkin spice treat isn't the Pumpkin Cream Cold Blew at Starbucks! You won't regret it if you plan to try it out. There are also caramel apples and even caramel apple suckers, cider donuts, candy corn, and enough Halloween candy to go around!

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
