Super PACs are SUPER important to U.S. politics and government. The name makes this seem complicated like only super people could get one of those or someone with enough money to hire tons of people to create it for them, but a super PAC is not that difficult to create. After choosing the cause/candidate and the clever name, most of the work is filing paperwork. The Federal Election Commission is the target of whom you need to impress for this.
Super PACs have a lot of aggression towards them because the only thing that regulates them is the FEC who are notorious for doing nothing. Technically speaking PACs and Super PACs must report to the FEC and pay fees each month or so, but that only begins if you report and pay the first time. The FEC has little power and what power they do have is to fine people not arrest them. So if people do not pay the fine then there is nothing they can really do it seems.
Step 1: Choose a Cause or a Candidate
Choosing just one cause or candidate can be difficult, but there are many different ideas that can be chosen.
Step 2: Create a Clever Name
Step 3: File the Paperwork
Fill out specifically a Statement of Organization, or Form 1, with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). On this paperwork don't forget to check box 5(f) under "Type of Committee." Another great idea is to write an appropriate cover letter to the Federal Election Commission. Be clear that this committee will be functioning as a super PAC. Make sure to have your Statement of Organization, name, address, contact information, the name of your super PAC and its treasurer.

Step 4: Raise Money!!
You should choose what needs to be done with your super PAC and create a spot for people to donate to your cause or candidate.
Watch John Oliver's episode of Last Week Tonight for even more information on who has super PACs and what they are. Another place to look for Super PAC information on TV is Stephen Colbert.
