Slowly but surely, it's turning into summer -- it's quite evident to everyone. The sun is scorching, tan lines are forming, and people are breaking out the sun screen. However, with dry heat comes an obvious change in weather conditions. Often, I find my skin subject to changing weather. Meaning my skin jumps on a crazy roller coaster filled with ups and downs of dry skin, black heads, and extreme redness. I don't like it, I have to adjust and somehow solve the scientific mystery that is happening to my skin.
Now, through extensive research from fashion/lifestyle magazines, I've looked for the perfect remedies to rescue my skin. Not only to glisten in the summer sun, but truly to protect the healthiness of my skin. Dealing with multiple skin types, I've had to battle fierce blackheads and bumpy read skin.
Also, I have learned to invest in natural ingredients -- seriously they're from God's Earth, they're good. Rather than slapping on some harsh chemicals, my skin is always radiating when I've invested in natural homemade remedies. Whether it's pineapples to pumpkins, these ingredients work wonders and leave my skin feeling like a baby's tooshie.
Taking minutes to concoct with simple, easy to find ingredients, facial masks are a quick go-to solution for skin issues. So, these are some facial remedies I've discovered over time that saved my skin from the summertime heat:

Meant to reduce redness, this facial mask calms the skins, takes away irritation, and works amazingly for those with skin on the sensitive side.Ingredients: 1/2 cucumber, 2 tbsp. aloe vera, and handful of chopped mint.
According to Seventeen Magazine, the instructions suggest to: "Peal and chop the cucumber. Using a fork, mash the cucumber, aloe, and mint into a gel-like substance, and then smooth all over your face. Leave on for twenty minutes and rinse with tepid water. The cooling cucumber and fresh mint will calm irritation and splotchiness; the aloe vera will leave skin hydrated and refreshed."
