If you've never tried a silent disco before or aren't quite sure what one is...here are four reasons you should definitely check it out:

First, I'll give you a quick overview of what a silent disco is. Basically, it's where there is a live Dj or multiple Dj's spinning their music, but instead of it being played loudly in the room, the music goes to wireless headphones that the attendees are wearing. If there are multiple DJ's, you get to choose which one you want to tune into and you can toggle between the options. I just went to my first silent disco this weekend at a party called Skylab in Denver. It. was. awesome.

Here are the four reasons I think everyone should try a silent disco:

1. Your Hearing Won't Get Destroyed

This is what I noticed right off the bat and loved! I'm 29 and I've been to a party or two in my lifetime. I can't do the extremely loud music anymore, or at least I can never stand at the front near the speakers. My poor ears just can't handle it! I loved that at the silent disco the sound is adjustable so you can still get your groove on without killing your eardrums. Another added benefit is that your vocal chords won't get destroyed either. If you wanna say something to your friend, all you have to do is take off your headphones and speak normally. No more yelling!

2. You Get to Choose

At a silent disco, there are typically 2-3 options to choose from! So if you're not feeling the current option that you're hearing, you can switch to another DJ or station! I loved being able to switch to a different genre without having to the leave the room. Now, you and your friends who all might have different tastes in music can all still dance together!

3. You're in a Judgement-Free Zone

If the people next to you are on a different channel, then they're not going to know what YOUR music sounds like! I mean, I try to dance like no one is watching, but let's face it, we're all thinking in the back of our head about what the guy or gal next to us thinks about our dance moves.

4. It's Just FUN

Unique experiences always bring people together. Sure, you can dance to your own music at home with headphones on, but this is a reason to get out there and makes some new friends while you're at it. At Skylab, I found it very fun to go up to a group of people who had the same color headphones as I was I rocking. I knew that they were getting down to the same music!

If you ever have the opportunity, I hope you try it out! I looked online and didn't find an upcoming event in Denver to share with you but I have a feeling they'll be popping up all over the place. I just attended Denver Start Up Week last week and they even had one at their opening party at Denver Union Station! I did find a local company here called Silent Events. So if you're interested in throwing a silent disco (which is just perfect for non-traditional spaces or places with noise constraints or crabby neighbors) be sure to contact them.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
