4 Reasons To Subscribe To 'Peaceful Cuisine'

Peaceful Cuisine is a YouTube channel full of cooking videos and vlogs created and uploaded by Ryoya Takashima. He was born in 1983 and used be a vegan chef. Here's why you should watch.

1. Ryoya preaches a good message through Peaceful Cuisine.

Almost all the dishes Ryoya makes on his channel are vegan, and Ryoya is a vegan himself. On his website, Ryoya states his belief in bringing peace to the world through a vegan lifestyle. His website states, "Eat foods that are good for all people, all creatures and the environment. World peace through the food choices we make." While this does not mean that everyone should become a vegan right now, it is worthwhile to consider decreasing one's consumption of meat and check out the awesome vegan cuisines Ryoya makes on his channel.

2. The special recording device he uses

Check out any of Ryoya's videos on YouTube with your headphones on, and you will be swept away by how crisp and clear the cooking sounds are. It is almost like he is cooking right by your side. This can have a special, relaxing effect on the brain and is commonly referred to as ASMR. So aside from conveying a peaceful message, watching Ryoya's videos will make you feel peaceful as well.

3. The food!

Although it is nice to have a someone use a cooking channel to convey a positive message, it wouldn't be that effective if the dishes Ryoya makes didn't look so delicious. Fortunately, they do! From vegan curry buns to avocado chocolate tart to bubble tea, Ryoya makes all kinds of food from all over the world, while featuring many Japanese dishes, too. He shows care and precision when he prepares the meals, and there's no doubt that he knows what he's doing. Although some ingredients might be hard to come by if you are not in Japan, at the end of the video he often proposes substitutions or possible modifications to the recipe, which are always fun to watch.

4. His journey

Ryoya's YouTube channel not only includes cooking videos, but also vlogs from his trips to different places and videos of how he built his kitchen. Viewers like you and me experience the full dimension of his journey. We get to know what he is like outside of the kitchen, and how he built his own work space. Ryoya gives us a better understanding of his lifestyle and his beliefs with these snippets of his life.

Although I've only been watching his videos for about half a year, I fell deeply in love with them, and I've watched almost everything he has uploaded. The message he's trying to convey and his videos are both admirable. So if you have some free time this summer and want to learn how to cook healthy vegan dishes, you should totally check his channel out!

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
