4 Reasons to be Obsessed with One Tree Hill

At the end of the school year and over the summer I was sucked into One Tree Hill, I binge watched that show so hard. Let me tell you I am obsessed with it.

1. The Characters

I guarantee anyone you talk to about One Tree Hill will tell you how much they love the characters. Whether its Nathan, Lucas, and Julian, or Brooke, Peyton, and Haley, or maybe even Dan Scott. These characters and a few others make up what this show is. Theres something in one or a few of these characters everyone can relate too. Whether you changed the way Nathan did, you were as artistic and dynamic as Peyton, or you were a party girl like Brooke and realized you were so much more than that.

But you cant forget about Mouth, Skills, or the famous Whitey Durham. We all had a friend like Mouth, the guy who falls for the pretty girl and they see him as more of a brother; or we had someone in our lives like Whitey is to all the people in this show, someone we can trust, look up to, and will tell us how it is. And of course the later characters in the show, Alex, Millie, Quinn, Clay, and Jamie. All of which still contribute to this show and get wrapped in to life in Tree Hill.

2. Boys

What girl didn't fall in love with the guys in this show. let’s be real. If you thought Mouth was the sweetest guy ever, which he is. Or the way Nathan cares for Haley, or the way Lucas is all mysterious yet sweet to the girl he's with. Or maybe even Julian, who came for the other girl in the book. But if it wasnt their personalities that made you fall in love with them it was the BoyToy Auction

3. The relationships

While yeah girls and even guys can get images in their head about what they want a relationship to be like, the ones in this show are the definition of relationship goals. First you have Nathan and Haley, who at the start of the show are super rocky and you kind of don't want good girl Haley to be with bad boy Nathan, but as the years go on they are with each other through the best and worst times that anyone can go through.

Then there is Lucas and Brooke and Lucas and Peyton; but no matter who you liked better together, there was no doubt that he felt something for the both of them, while sometimes it was at the same time. At the end of the day we all just want someone to feel something for us, and realize that at the end of the day, we’re the person they want standing next to us on the best day of their lives.

Or at the end Brooke and Julian, who came from different lifestyles and let each other in and found out what true love really is.

4. Friendships

The friendships in this show stand the test of time and drama. The girls, while they do have their fair share of drama, always have each others backs and always show what being a real best friend is. And the guys, while guys tend to be way less emotional than girls, you can tell that they would do just about anything for each other and thats how friendship should be. But their big group of friends would always be there for anyone and they always make the best memories together.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
