4 Reasons The Jam Sess Must Stay

Never be afraid to go all out.

4 Reasons The Jam Sess Must Stay

After a good number of serious sounding posts this week we are going to expand the horizons with a little fun. I’m sure we all wholeheartedly know and love the car or in room jam sess. Whether alone or with friends this has continued on in popularity since the older times. Here are 5 reasons why there is absolutely positively no cancelling that out anytime soon.

1. Relieves stress

Let’s face it we all live super uber busy lives. Constantly we are journeying out in our car to the next place of adventure or crossing the next task off the to do list. In the hustle bustle it’s super easy to become frazzled. To stress and worry about all that’s to come and start to go into panic mode but once that favorite song comes on you’re able to let all go and just breathe. Maybe it’s belting the lyrics of a song at the loudest range you can imagine.. that’s cool. Maybe it’s dancing to the point where you feel like stress is literally pouring out of your body.. that’s cool too. Whatever works for you to let out all you need to for the day.

2. Brings people together

Ever been in a car with someone new, maybe their taking you home or you’re out on a date but for whatever reason you are in that car with the person and it is just really awkward. Well in those moments go straight for that aux cord and have no fear. When someone plays a song that both people can relate to and love it’s like a new bond is formed and being comfortable just naturally comes out after. Maybe try a song that is one of the top 40 that people are really familiar with and pick your crowd, then spend the next few minutes semi fan girling over what’s playing and jam out making some occasional eye contact with that person sitting next to you. You’ll be friends in no time!

3. It expands your dance move horizons

Each person out there needs the new moves to try out in the public dance spots or clubs but often times we just hit a drought as to what to do. If ever in this spot call a buddy and jam. Do your usual moves but also watch the ones they feel for the song. Then try a few out and see it fits your style. Never be too closed off, stay open to what you can find

4. Music should be appreciated

The very core of music is powerful when you really think about it. There’s an art to it when patterns are put together to create harmonious sounds and then lyrics come from people with true life experiences expressing that moment in their life or possibly in yours. When we lose the jam sess we in some ways lose that real downheart love of music that keeps bringing us back to it. You can see at a concert that those on stage thrive off the energy they see in the crowd when their songs are being played, same goes for all times car, house, or public!

All in all friends I want to leave you with one thing, never be ashamed to just jam out in whatever way you are feeling for the day. It is good for you, it brings people together and ultimately you’ll get so much out of what comes naturally. Comment below with your favorite music to jam out to this week and lets go!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
