For the first few weeks of college, my floor was bare. Just a plain white carpet was all my room had to offer. My parents came up for family weekend and my mom blessed me and my roommate with a wonderful, white, fuzzy beanbag.

After almost a semester and a half, I can safely say this beanbag chair has changed mine and my roommate's college experience for the better. A beanbag is the ultimate staple in a college dorm room and I will vouch for this up until my dying breath.

1. A beanbag is so versatile.

Since bean bags are simply bags of beans, they move to shape any body and any position. That means you can nap on them as well as sit and do homework.

2. They are perhaps the most comfortable things in this universe.

Beanbag. Must I say more?

3. Beanbags offer extra seating in the room.

My roommate and I struggled with having our friends over because our twin beds were not big enough for everyone and no one likes sitting on the floor. Once we got the beanbag however, our beds became fair game because you can bet that we are the two on the beanbag.

4. It will fit in any dorm room.

Our beanbag has moved into all of our friends' rooms from time to time. From the smallest to the biggest, the beanbag has adjusted to any size because like I said bag of beans.

As I wrote this article, I got a call from my roommate where she told me "You can't submit this. This is the stupidest thing I have ever read." And while this article may be stupid, it serves a great purpose. To high school seniors, college kids looking to expand their dorm room, and any homeowner: get a bean bag. It will change your life!

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
