Life doesn't always go exactly the way we planned. We all have certain plans for our lives, and we don't ever really plan on things not working out the way we want on them to. There are bumps in the road, mountains to overcome, and people to sway us in the wrong direction. When things tend to get tough, we turn to those who can comfort those the most. Religious or not, I find these quotes from the Holy Bible to be very comforting and healing when I'm feeling down.

Philippians 4:8

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things"

Deuteronomy 31:8

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged"


Psalm 40:1-3

"I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard me cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him"


Isaiah 41:10

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand"



Life can be hard, especially in times like these. It's important to keep our heads high, and to remember that we're never alone. There is power in these words, and I hope that you find them to be comforting.
