There are few people who do not understand the obsessive addiction that is Pinterest. When everything that you could ever want is curated onto one website, it is difficult to not become addicted. Girls pin everything from food to wedding ideas to sorority crafts to funny memes. For any need or want, there is a Pinterest board out there somewhere.

In general, boys don't understand Pinterest. It truly baffles them. Honestly, there are quite a few things that you will find on your Pinterest boards that your boyfriend really should not see. Here are a few Pinterest staples that you should keep hidden from you boy at all costs.

Anything and Everything to do with Weddings

Every girl's favorite board, and every boyfriend's worst nightmare. Not only does a wedding board say "commitment" in big, bold letters, it also sets future wedding expectations extremely high. It would benefit both you and your boyfriend if he doesn't find out you have every detail of your wedding planned down to the font style of the Save the Date cards. There is a possibility it could cause him to hyperventilate and/or run screaming in the other direction. The less he knows about your wedding board right now, the more likely it probably is that you will get to plan that dream wedding with him.

All Pins on a Board with a Title Along the Lines of "Maybe, Baby!"

A bit self explanatory but this type of board, like the wedding board, screams "I want to settle down" to a boy. All of the baby name lists, baby/family picture ideas, birth announcement templates, and shower ideas could possibly cause your boyfriend to pass out cold. If he knew about the existence of this board, he would not think of this in simple terms. He would take this as an immediate desire to have babies. And lots of them. And take black and white pictures of their feet. For now, keep all of those adorable ideas to yourself.

Pins of Contouring Tips and Tutorials

If your boyfriend saw the specific steps it takes to make your cheekbones look on point, he would be extremely disturbed. Makeup routines, like Pinterest, really baffle boys. They don't understand, and most likely never will, which is probably for the best. And do you really want him to know how you make your face look so fabulous? Of course not. So keep the mystery alive, and don't let him find out about the 100 different contouring tutorials you have collected. Maybe she's born with it, maybe she found it on Pinterest.

Cute Date Ideas Board

Most of the date ideas you will find on Pinterest are absolutely adorable, but slightly corny and unrealistic. You are well aware that your boyfriend will never, ever want to do anything like "Rake a pile of leaves and then jump in them" or do anything involving Hobby Lobby and picking out fall and Christmas decor. But if he sees you pinned any of that stuff, he might feel like you want to actually do them and feel bad that you haven't.

To avoid making him feel inadequate, keep the cutesy fall date dreams to yourself. You and I both know you don't actually want to bake cinnamon apple scones with your significant other.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
