4 Outfits to Rock During Exam Week

No matter what time of year, exam week hits everyone the hardest. You may be smack dab in the middle of midterms right now, or you may be looking ahead to finals already, trying to figure out how you're going to keep your life together.

For the college girl, this includes your wardrobe choices. While I'm sure all of us would love to get away with wearing sweatpants to each and every class during the one-two week stretch of hell, we also have to admit that in some instances, it's not possible.

While I can't promise that these outfits are the solution to all of your exam week dilemmas, I can promise that they'll inspire quick, simple and cute outfits. Less time spent on deciding what to wear out of your room means more time to study, eat, work out, sleep...the list goes on.

1. Study Outfit

My goal with this outfit was, if you do have to wear sweatpants out of the house (no judgment), this is the way to go! I put this together with studying in mind, be it with friends at a coffeehouse or by yourself at the library.

You need to be cozy, so go for joggers and a simple t-shirt (the wittier the better). The cardigan gives a little more of a dressy feel, and with a messy bun, makes it seem like an effortless outfit (which it is)! Fuzzy/cushy socks with the shoes of your choice are always a must, especially if you're curling up with a warm beverage and trying to forget about the stack of assignments waiting for you still...

2. Presentation Day

Instead of exams, some professors ask for presentations, which can be harder than any test depending on your preference. Look polished and academic with this cute and practical combo. (If I'm being honest, really any time a collared dress and a sweater are paired, I think of a brainy Zooey Deschanel character, which helps me get enough spunk to try my hardest to blow people away!)

For the fall and winter months, boots are always a cute and practical choice. Wear them with high socks or your favorite tights (a bright pop of color would be amazing here--like red or a dark emerald)!

3. Exam Day

I usually devote my simplest outfit to exam day, because after a night of cramming or stress-binging Netflix (don't judge me), I'm too exhausted to function.

A simple sweater/shirt, combined with your regular worn jeans are helpful in that you are wearing the comfortable equivalent of a blank slate. You can throw on a scarf, a vest, a cool belt...basically, any accessory or extra clothing piece can only liven up your outfit and make it your own!

The hat is crucial to this outfit because maybe you overslept and don't have time to shower/tackle the mess that is your hair... and hats are basically the best way to camouflage that until you get enough time to really get ready for the day. The sneakers are also a must because you don't want to disrupt your classmates while turning in your test or leaving the exam hall. Any flat soft shoes, like ballet flats and most sandals, would also do the trick.

4. Lounging Outfit

Congrats! You survived exam week! Now you can officially turn into a lump and recuperate!

In matters like this, oversized hoodies and leggings come in clutch, because well... you don't have to put any thought into this outfit. This is you, being cozy, and catching up on rest. Grab a pillow and hibernate! Catch up on your water intake (because, let's be honest, you drank your body weight and more in caffiene). Snack and binge-watch your shoes. TREAT. YO. SELF.

No matter your outfits, I'm sure you all are rocking your exam weeks! I believe in you!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
