Only Love (사랑 하나죠)

This song is sung by SMTOWN artists in 2007 and the message is heartwarming. Basically, a small gesture of love makes other people happy because it gives them hope and appreciation. To be honest, when I watched the music video, I shed a few tears since this spread of love doesn't occur much or is not seen often in where I live. If possible, spend some time with your loved ones, appreciate them for their hard work and love for you, and bring their spirits up when they're feeling down or stressed.

VOODOO DOLL (저주인형)

This song is sung by VIXX (빅스) and the message is alarming but it does happen. DISCLAIMER: if you hate seeing blood, needles, and/or stabbing, I suggest just listening to the song and not the music video. To further explain, this song is related to toxic relationships and even though the video portrays the boyfriend's side, it can work for the girlfriend's side as well. The message is that the boyfriend/girlfriend is like a slave and sacrifices everything for their significant other to make them happy, hence why the song title is Voodoo Doll. Even if it hurts them, they can't do much about it since they're in their partner's hands. Like I said earlier, this is related to toxic relationships and my message to you is if you feel like your partner is controlling you and it's ruining your physical and mental health, try to escape the relationship to prevent any further damage.

WANNABE

This song is sung by ITZY (있지) and the message is related to who you are. You can have people tell you to not do this or that but you don't have to listen to them. If you don't like it, don't do it. It's none of their business and do what makes you happy, not what makes them happy. If they get upset because of what you did and it doesn't affect them, don't listen to them. Don't let the haters get in your way. Some things might not work the way you want them to work, but it's okay because it's life; no one is perfect.

Sorry (Dear. Daddy)

This song is sung by f(x) members Luna and Krystal (에프엑스 루나&크리스탈) and the song itself is a message to fathers. I can guarantee you'll shed some tears listening to the song and understand the lyrics because I know I did. The song is like an apology to our dads for not appreciating them enough and acting immature to them. They have sacrificed a lot of things for us and some of us don't even see it. In some cases, people realized what their dads did for them a tad too late so they're filled with regrets and sorrow. Remember to let your parents know that you appreciate them for making who you are now and it's never too late to say sorry for the wrongful things you have said to them.

I hope you guys took those messages into consideration and know these are real life scenarios, especially in today's world. Spend time with your family and friends, check up on them, and happy new years!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
