As we enter the end of this spring semester, we grow envious of our friends studying down in Florida who have been on summer break for close to a month now. We grow restless and begin missing class to work on assignments for other classes. We lose hours of sleep and dedicate it to that lab that we all somehow forgot to do for chemistry. We struggle with coming up with theses for our fifteen page paper. The days are getting hotter and sunnier, and our attitude is only becoming more and more agitated as the sun beams down on our already sweaty foreheads, not from heat, but from the worry of the accumulation of finals.
If you are anything like me, then you have had at least three breakdowns in the past month and have procrastinated on that aforementioned fifteen page paper for weeks. It’s important to take these moments that we can find any spare time to just breathe and there are ways to manage anxiety at the tips of your fingers. The following are some applications that I used or still use regularly to manage my anxiety. One of the best things to do when you are anxious during a busy time is to open one of these apps and just take a moment to yourself.
1. Pacifica
This popular app focuses on mood, health, thought tracking, guided meditation and affirmations, as well as insight to progress gained.
2. Headspace
Headspace features 10 minute guided meditation sessions. It stimulates mindfulness to help with any restless times and provides short term anxiety help and tips.
3. Habitica
This app creates habits and provides motivation for productivity. It is closely related to the atmosphere of video games and you can even compete with friends and join interest groups.

This adorable app has saved me various times whenever I feel like procrastinating. Turn this app on and the motivation to grow your cute forest will keep your hands and focus off your phone so that you can gear your attention to another task like homework.
