Be it the common cold, recovering from surgery, or you're stuck on the couch with mono, there's always something to do to keep you entertained.
I get to have my wisdom teeth removed later this week, so I've decided to come up with a list of things to keep myself occupied while recovering from someone cutting open my gums and extracting unnecessary body parts.
1. Watch Disney Movies
When I feel like poo, I like watching the movies I adored as a youngster. I will be watching Disney's "Robin Hood," "The Little Mermaid," "The Lion King," "Aladdin," and "The Emperor's New Groove" for sure this weekend! And you know what? I bet I'll get my parents to partake in the festivities, too! *Insert evil laughter*
2. Color
Indeed, adult coloring books are rampantly taking over bookstores and magazine racks everywhere. And you know what? There's a reason for it! It's a great way to relieve stress and takes very little thought and physical activity.
3. Play Mario Kart
Or any nostalgic and easy video game, really. Sure, if you're on pain meds you might find the activity to be dizzying, but it could be good fun to see how you'd be behind the wheel without truly endangering anyone.
4. Sleep
Oh, yes. That sweet, sweet escape from feeling poo-ish. Do it. Don't fight it. Embrace it. Especially if you've taken those lovely medications (NyQuil, cough syrup with codeine, or any other narcotics for that matter) that cause drowsiness. Allow it to wrap around you like your coziest blanket and you'll wake up feeling (hopefully) better!
