Some set expectations for the new year that are — let's face it — waaay too high! This leaves those beautiful daring dreamers disappointed and discouraged that they've fallen back into their old pattern of habits once again.

Making a few changes like the ones listed below are not only easy...but they add up! A few small changes that are easy to stick to are sure to spark more change than a challenging resolution that gets washed away by the start of February!

1. Plan Ahead

Think realistically about what you will eat today. You're only setting yourself up for failure by putting off planning meals. Whether it's due to a lack of food or not wanting what's in your fridge, avoiding the question is not the answer! By the time dinner rolls around you still won't want that uncooked chicken and before long you'll be dialing to order take out! Definitely NOT the healthiest choice!

2. Cook More

As aforementioned, take out is not going to deliver a Grade A nutritious meal. Your body is your engine and you should treat it so! Food is your fuel, so fill your body up with the good stuff! Cooking your own meals is the best way to do this because you cook what you crave AND you know exactly what you're eating.

3. Eat Superfoods

Superfoods are those that contain high levels of vital vitamins and minerals. Generally, they are also a dense source of antioxidants, which protect our bodies from cell damage and improve our overall health. A lot of superfoods are really delicious and quite easy to incorporate in daily meals. Read about 10 Superfoods You Should Know About here!

4. Buy Healthy Food

This one's easy. Everyone buys food, whether it's at a grocery store or a restaurant. While your gazing through the aisles-or paroozing the menu-take the extra minute to try to find a healthier alternative to your regular choices! This extra minute can be used to find a healthier choice in all aspects of life! For instance, park a few spots back and walk a couple extra feet. It's the little things people! A few little things a day really do add up!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
