They sure know how to create the terror.

Anyone who has seen Netflix’s hit political drama, House of Cards, knows just how crazy some of the things those characters got away with are. It’s rather unsettling when you think about how accurate this could all be to real life politics. Some members of Congress have even said they enjoy the show for how accurate it is (a frightening thought). I have compiled some of the craziest things to happen in the first four seasons of the show, and here they are.

1. When Frank got away with killing not one, but TWO people.

The “suicide” of Peter was kind of suspicious if you looked at the facts like that he was in the passenger seat of the car and also was halfway out the car because he tried to escape. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, Frank killed Zoe in a public location with dozens of people around and nobody even NOTICED. Nobody even bothered to look into these more, except for Lucas and we all know how that one went. It's pretty frightening that Frank also went on to be the President of the United States after killing his way into the White House and also practically impeaching the current president?

2. Literally anything Doug ever does.

Doug kept a girl hostage for what, months, years? Then he ultimately ended up kidnapping and killing that girl and never got caught. This, of course, was after he beat Gavin half to death to get Rachel’s location for the killing. He also did some extremely illegal things by getting Frank pushed up on the liver donor list in place of someone else, who ended up dying because of it. Doug also tried to kill Seth for next to no reason so that had to be the last straw for me. He probably should have just died when Rachel attacked him. No, actually, he definitely should have died then; over literally any other character in the entire show who died.

3. Claire has an affair that Frank encourages?

I was so confused when Claire broke it off with Tom only to have Frank call him back and encourage the union. Claire was gonna divorce him before the whole shooting debacle so maybe he sees this as the only way to keep her? I don’t know but the love in that marriage is dead. There is only power.

4. The members of Congress were so easily persuaded.

Of course there were a few Congress members that stuck to their guns (to which Frank threatened them always), but those people were few and far between on this show. Everything was a backdoor deal or a favor. This is making me feel great about our real life government, considering people have said just how much this show portrays real life.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
