4 Deaths We Glanced Over In Disney Movies

These make the movies a little more dark, don't they?

Over the years, many movie studios - specifically Disney - have made fantastic animated films. Most, if not all, films have an antagonist and in a lot of those movies, they die. The sad part is that there usually is some collateral as well. Here are some gruesome and overlooked deaths in animated movies.

Gaston - Beauty and the Beast

Disney, Screencapped by disneyscreencaps.com

Alright, this one wasn't too gruesome and doesn't really fit with the rest of these, but I wanted to get it out of the way first. It isn't itself glanced over, but it does have some aspects that definitely were. Gaston may have been an egotistical creep, but did he deserve to be thrown off the tower? No! Gaston was an important figure in the town and he felt it was his responsibility to rescue a kidnapped girl from a dangerous man-bear monster. He set out to rescue the girl and ended up in a pit. Belle could have sent a letter saying "Don't worry about me, guys. This furry is treating me right." and the town could have said "Umm, ew, but okay" and just went on their merry ways.

Various Guards - The Incredibles

Disney Pixar

The Incredibles is a great movie, but it has more deaths than Die Hard (36 vs. 23). Of course, Syndrome dies at the end when he is sucked into a jet engine and all those supers died while facing the various iterations of the robot, but there are many guards that die by the hands of the Parr family. These guards have been mainly crushed and exploded, but some were drowned and one was hit by a rock in the head by Mr. Incredible and then fell more than 20 feet, where he most likely snapped his neck. One that really sticks out to me is when Dash, a 10 year old, slaps a guy around and then bails just as the helicopter-like vehicle crashes into a cliff face.

Security Guard - A Goofy Movie

Disney

This security guard was flung into a Jumbotron and then fell a long way. Why? Max was trespassing. The guard found the brat snooping around where he didn't belong and tried to escort him out. Max evades the guard and the guard follows him to some truss for lights. The cable holding the bar breaks and the guard dies. On stage, Powerline continues with the show because he's expecting security to rush over and get the kid and this weird middle aged man off stage, but the security will never come. The guy probably had a family to feed and just needed the money. All this for a girl Max will dump before college.

Villager - Beauty and the Beast

Disney

And here we go back to Beauty and the Beast. I'm pretty sure if a regular dresser was dropped on a person it would kill them. This dresser is a magic dresser that apparently weighs enough to demolish the ground while having the fall broken by a man. There is no other way around this. The guy is now lasagna on in the floor. Even though they were trying to kill people, they had no clue that they were people! They were confused and misguided, they thought they were freeing a girl from an evil monster and his pawns, yet they met fates as bad as Gaston's! It makes this movie much darker than it seems.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
