December is one of the best months of the year. After suffering through finals and tons of school work, we get a long break from school and get to be home and enjoy all the holidays around us, and being with our family and friends! Besides decorating, gift buying, and baking cookies, Christmas movies are one of the best ways to enjoy the season and really get in the Christmasy spirit. Here are some of the best Christmas movies that you need to watch this (and every) Christmas season, even if you have seen them all at least 50 times (which you most likely have).

1. "Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas"

A true classic with Jim Carrey, this movie will get you in all the Christmas feels. It's funny, memorable, and in many ways we can relate to the grinch. Also, will probably make you want to live in Whoville (and be Cindy Lou Who). Also, will make you fall in love with Faith Hill's classic, "Where are you Christmas?" This is definitely a perfect movie to watch while you drink hot cocoa and eat Christmas cookies.

2. "Home Alone"

The great and classic story about the kid (Macaulay Culkin) who gets left home alone over the holiday season, and somehow manages to keep away burglars from stealing everything in his house and hurting him. This is definitely another funny and heart-warming classic that needs to be watched this December.

3. "The Santa Clause"

How could you not want to watch Tim Allen in this great story of how he literally becomes Santa Claus on Christmas eve night? His transformation into Santa is funny and will make you want to be a kid again to get those same Christmas feels you used to when believing in Santa. After watching this, you can watch this series' 2nd and 3rd movies!

4. "Elf"

I'm pretty sure everyone loves this movie. How could you not enjoy the story an elf who comes to NYC from the North Pole and is just trying to figure his way around plus find his real dad. His optimistic view on life and Christmas is definitely going to cheer you up and help get you more into the Christmas spirit.

After getting home from school after difficult finals and end of the semester work, it is a definite necessity to begin watching all the Christmas movies to help boost your spirit and get you ready for the fun holiday season.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
