In case you haven't heard, January 24th is national compliment day, and in my humble opinion, it is one of the best random holidays out there. Giving someone a compliment is hands down the easiest way to brighten someone's day. It doesn't take a lot of effort or energy, but the effects are wonderful. Just one simple comment can turn a bad day into a good one. There are a million unique compliments that you can give someone, and I would encourage you to spend a little extra time finding the special things you see in other people and telling them about it. Compliments aren't reserved for physical appearances, and often times the ones that aren't meant the most. Below is a list of compliments that you can tell someone in order to truly recognize how great he or she is. If someone pops into your head as you read one, let them know. I promise it will make both of you feel good.

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
