Autumn is arguably the best season. When most people think of fall, they think of colder weather, leaves changing, sweaters, thankfulness, or pumpkins. Fall is basically comfort food season. Who doesn't love autumnal food? Fall is the perfect medium between hot summer and freezing winter. So get excited! As if PSLs aren't enough of a reason, allow me to convince you that fall is the best thing ever.

1. It's Pumpkin Spice Latte season

2. Sweater weather returns

3. Halloween decorating begins

4. Being able to wear boots again

5. No more sweating to death

6. Christmas is coming...

7. You can wear leggings comfortably

8. Leaf piles

9. Did somebody say chai lattes?

10. PUMPKINS EVERYWHERE

11. The leaves change colors

12. Figuring out your Halloween costume

13. Jeans won't make you too hot

14. Fall birthdays are sooo close

15. Gloves/mittens are once again acceptable to wear

16. The magic of the first snowfall

17. Fall colors come back in style--maroon, forest green, navy, brown, black

18. Movie nights

19. Finally turning the fireplace back on

20. Piling up with dozens of blankets on the couch

21. Cuddling to keep warm

22. Trying to figure out how much makeup you need to apply in order to hide your frozen, red nose

23. Going pumpkin picking

24. No more sunburns (hopefully)

25. All the bugs die, just like they deserve to

26. Sleeping in on days that are just too cold

27. Rainy days are so much better in the fall than the spring or summer

28. Sweatshirts and sweatpants are acceptable to wear outside

31. SALTED CARAMEL EVERYTHING

32. Um, hello, apple pies and pies in general

33. Hot apple cider/hot cocoa

34. FOOTBALL

35. It's wonderful being able to roast marshmallows over the firepit

36. Fall scents beat all other scents

37. Disney usually releases some new movies

Fall is definitely the best season. There's so much to do, so much to eat, and so many ways to spend your days. Try something new this autumn! Or do the exact opposite and keep with traditions. Either way, fall is sure to be the most fun time of your whole year.

7. If you say you will be home at a certain time, you better be home at that time.

8. Seeing a missed call from your parents sends fear and horror through your veins.

9. If relatives are coming over to the house, your room better be clean.

10. You are careful about what jokes you share with your parents.

11. "You’re not an adult until you turn 18! You can do whatever you want then!"

12. If plans change while you’re out, you better text or call.

13. Don’t talk back. Ever.

14. When you’re called by your full name, you’re in deep trouble.

15. Don’t make them call your name twice.

16. Sleepovers are not a thing.

17. Despite all of these things, you know your parents love you.
