It's finally the second most wonderful time of the year.. SPRING BREAK!! Let's face it, 2017 has been a tough year to tackle so far and we all need this break from school and responsibilities (unless you have a job, what even is spring break). For me personally, spring break isn't an excuse to get drunk on a crystal clear beach. Spring break is a time of reflection and rest. I need this mental health week, and I know a lot of you out there need it as well. For all of us that aren't going to Mexico or Florida for spring break, here are a few suggestions of what you can do during your lovely week off:

1. Don't look at blackboard... not even once

2. Bake some cookies. Bake all the cookies

3. Go see Get Out

4. Go on Pinterest and DIY something

5. Take a trip to the zoo

6. Go hiking while the weather is nice

7. Read a book (or two)

8. Go on a picnic with your friends (or significant other)

9. Throw an epic party (I mean come on, it is spring break after all)

10. Take a walk

11. Try a new recipe

12. Visit a local museum

13. Have a dance party in the kitchen by yourself (although you should already be doing this on the reg)

14. Draw a self-portrait and hang it on the wall

15. Paint cute designs on rocks

16. Take a day trip to the beach

17. Ride your bike

18. Plant some flowers

19. Go cloud-gazing

20. Go star-gazing

21. Start working on your summer body if you haven't already

22. Have a photoshoot with your friends

23. Go to the river

24. Paint a picture with watercolors

25. Do your spring cleaning

26. Go fishing

27. Fly a kite

28. Dance in the rain

29. Go on a scavenger hunt

30. Catch fireflies

31. Go to an outdoor concert

32. Play board games

33. Go job hunting

34. SLEEP

35. Spruce up your LinkedIn account (I'm talking to you business majors)

36. Plan an epic summer getaway

37. Have fun!!

So there you have it folks, a simple bucket list for your spring break. You don't need to spend a ton of money and travel to a different country. All you have to do it relax, have fun, and not worry about school for a whole week.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
