37 Binge Worthy Shows For Winter Break

Winter Break is in full swing! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! If your break is anything like mine, you are spending a lot of time in front of a screen of your choosing catching up on all the shows you missed during the semester. After you are done with that, which will only take a week of your break, you will start binge watching a new show because you are bored out of your mind. In order to entertain your boredom and mine, here are some shows to check out when you are snowed inside.

Comedies

1. Friends

2. The Office

3. Parks and Rec

4. That 70's Show

5. Bob's Burgers (or other Animated Series)

There are plenty to choose from. They typically have a lot of seasons and the episodes are only 20ish minutes which means you can get through a lot of episodes in a short amount of time.

6. Fuller House

Yes, I know the show is kind of cheesy, but if you were a fan of the original Full House, the show is decently entertaining.

7. New Girl

8.How I Met Your Mother

9. Gracie and Frankie

This one is geared toward an older audience but it is still entertaining.

10. Orange is the New Black

I am probably the only person that has not seen the show, but I hear it is quite good.

11. Gilmore Girls and the Revival

Are you team Dean, Jess, or Logan?

12. Shameless

Not sure if this one is considered more of a comedy or drama, but either way it is a good show.

13. 30 Rock

Drama

1. Grey's Anatomy

2. How to Get Away With Murder

3. Scandal

Can you tell that I am a fan of Shonda Rhimes yet?

4. Pretty Little Liars

5. Criminal Minds

6. Mad Men

7. The Crown

8. Parenthood

9. Once Upon A Time

10. Breaking Bad

11. The Vampire Diaries

12. Bones

13. House of Cards

14. Sherlock

15. Bates Motel

16. Nurse Jackie

17. The Walking Dead

18. Game of Thrones

This one is not on Netflix but I love the show too much to not include it.

19. The Blacklist

Anything Superhero Related!

Other Shows I Suggest

Just note that these shows are not anything critically acclaimed but I liked them!

1. Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23

2. Young & Hungry

3. Baby Daddy

4. The Mysteries of Laura

5. Reality TV

Real Housewives, The Kardashians, whatever trash tv you enjoy!

There are honestly so many options, but I hope you found something on this list that will help cure your boredom!!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
