Take solace in your time alone and try some things that you have done before, who knows you may fall in love with one. Here are a few ideas to try out that you may have never thought to do alone, but you should really try.

1. Go shopping

Try on as many things as you want, and have a fashion show in the fitting room.

2. Travel

Even if it's just for a night in the next town over.

3. Go to a nice restaurant.

And order something you normally wouldn't.

4. Go to a museum.

And just look at stuff, even if you have no idea what it is.

5. Act like a tourist in your home city.

Sign up for a tour bus and visit landmarks!

6. Go see a movie.

No one will judge you for wanting to see the new 3D animated flick.

7. Treat yourself to a spa day!

Get a massage, a facial, whatever you want.

8. Go dancing.

Make new friends on the dance floor.

9. Take a bike ride around your neighborhood.

Go as fast as you want and speed down the tallest hill you can find!

10. Have a good ugly cry while reading or watching something sad.

'Nuff said.

11. Go to a nearby national park and just walk around.

Take pictures of anything you like, even that funny-shaped rock.

12. Go to a concert.

It's not like you can really hear anything people say anyways.

13. Cook an entire meal from scratch.

Then you can eat it right from the pan.

14. Buy flowers and put them all over your living space.

They make everything brighter and happier.

15. Watch a foreign movie without subtitles.

Who cares if you don't know German? Just make up your own plot!

16. Go to an animal shelter.

Play with the puppies and kittens!

17. Bake and decorate a cake.

And eat as much as you want.

18. Spend an entire day in complete silence.

It's amazing how much more you hear when you just listen.

19. Take an art class.

And proudly display your masterpiece in your home.

20. Go to a play.

21. Pretend you're royalty and your home is the most grand palace in existence.

A monarch can rule in her Mickey Mouse onsie of she damn pleases.

22. Build a snowman.

Dress him up and give him a name!

23. Rake a big pile of leaves and jump into it.

24. Solve a puzzle.

Get the hardest one possible.

25. Read a nonfiction book on a topic that interests you.

Guaranteed to make you feel 100000 times smarter.

26. Write a list of your character flaws.

27. Now write a list on how to change those same flaws.

28. Wake up early and make a full breakfast.

Even squeeze a glass of orange juice, because why not?

29. Sit down somewhere and just people-watch.

30. Go to a bookstore and re-read your favorite books from when you were little.

My personal favorite growing up was Green Eggs and Ham

31. Send someone flowers.

Just because.

32. Plan your entire wedding.

Admit it, you've probably already done this.

33. Spend a whole day in bed.

Read, watch Netflix or knit. Even better, order see how long you can go without getting up to pee.

34. Watch one of those old Kung-fu movies and try to mimic the fights.

Kung-fu Panda works too.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
