Middle school dances are often the prime example of an awkward event among pre-teens, but sometimes even high school dances suffer the same fate.

Depending on the kind of high school it is, the music can vary from one heavy other either techno or hip-hop, maybe with some line dances in between. High School dances require more effort than middle school ones, but even when people dress well during Prom Season, there will always be those instances of guys ripping their suit pants after a dance-off. There is a certain set of songs that are very familiar with being the kind of songs you will only hear in these dances, that it can bring back memories for a lot of young adults now. Looking back at the high school dances can be nostalgic as you hear a familiar tune as you listen to a Throwback Thursday playlist. It can bring back the time you killed it on the dance floor or possibly become the highlight of Prom Night. These tracks are what you will always hear at high school dances.

1.Chris Brown- "Yeah 3X"

2.Enrique Iglesias- "I Like It "

3. Sean Kingston Ft. Justin Bieber- "Eeenie Meenie"

4.Usher- "DJ Got Us Falling In Love"

5.Taoi Cruz- "Dynamite"

6.Far East Movement- "Like A G6"

7.Dev- "Bass Down Low"

8.Cobra Starship- "You Make Me Feel...."

9.Metro Station "Shake It"

10.The Wanted- "Glad You Came"

11.Skrillex- "Bangarang"

12. LMFAO- "Party Rock Anthem"

13.The Black Eyed Peas- "I Gotta Feeling"

14.Maroon 5- "Moves Like Jagger"

15.New Boyz- "You're A Jerk"

16.Finatticz - "Don't Drop That Thun Thun Thun"

17.V.I.C - "Wobble"

18.Yung Joc- "It's Goin Down"

19.Rej3ctz - "Cat Daddy"

20.Cali Swag District- "Teach Me How To Dougie"

21.Flo Rida - "Low"

22.Usher ft. Lil Jon, Ludacris- "Yeah!"

23.Missy Elliot - "Lose Control"

24.Ciara - "1,2 Step"

25.R. Kelly- "Step in The Name of Love"

26.Ki-Ci and JoJo- "All My Life"

27.Monica- "Angel of Mine"

28.SWV- "Weal"

29.Michael Jackson- "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough"

30.Elvis Crespo- "Suavemente"

31.Caballo Dorado- "Payaso De Rodeo"

32.Rednex- "Cotton Eye Joe"

33.PSY- "Gangnam Style"

34.Darude- "Sandstorm"

Some of these songs are still considered a banger now, while other tracks make you want to cringe about how popular they were. High school dances always provided a different variety of music genres to help please everybody. It's no surprised that not everybody is pleased with the dance playlist, which makes room for those attending the dance who think they're too cool to bust a move. Overall it is safe to say that just like middle school dances, high school dances are a hit or miss depending on the community among students. Sometimes people get sick of the music, while it can grow on your for the rest of your adulthood.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
