33 Things I Hope To Do
A Book by Alex Strohl
"Life is about courage and going into the unknown."

We all have a bucket list; we all have things we want to do, places we want to see and people we want to meet. I have a list of things that may seem odd, but something I just want to experience, something I want to do to feel alive, happy and fulfilled. People strive to do as much as they can in their lifetime and make sure they do it to fully enjoy and ultimately, whether you have a bucket list or not, we all have these things we want to do.

Here are 33 things I wish to do in my lifetime.

1. Visit Yosemite National Park

2. Go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans AT LEAST once.

3. See the Northern Lights.

4. Visit Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.

5. Have a genuine conversation with a celebrity – not to ask for a selfie, not to bombard them. Meet them and talk... Maybe impossible, but hey, definitely worth a spot on the list.

6. Have front row tickets to my favorite artist.

7. Travel through Europe. Hit England, Paris, Italy – all the major stops.

8. Attend a World Cup soccer match to fuel my soccer-loving heart.

9. Drive a luxury sports car. One that is worth more than I can fathom owning.

10. Dance in Rio, in the street, with someone, whatever the occasion. Just to dance my heart out, loud music playing, people laughing and talking, just enjoying life (while dancing).

11. Visit all the places Ben Stiller visited in the movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."

12. Fly in a private jet and drink a glass of champagne: you know, the usual.

13. Run a 10K and not pass out.

14. Publish a book.

15. Hail a taxi in Times Square, and have a nice chat with the driver.

16. Swim and visit a waterfall in Thailand.

17. Visit Greece and stay longer than a week (my homeland).

18. Go to the New Year's Eve ball drop in Times Square, and kiss a stranger at midnight.

19. Have an apartment with a view.

20. Volunteer in a foreign country.

21. Visit New Zealand and take pictures, upon pictures.

22. Climb a mountain.

23. Leave a waitress/waiter a huge tip.

24. Attend elite cooking classes.

25. Fill up a whole journal with entries, poems, quotes, etc.

26. Get a tattoo of a favorite quote.

27. Visit Alaska.

28. Buy a piece of art from a gallery.

29. Have a piece of art in a gallery.

30. Surf in Hawaii, lay on the beach, watch the sunrise. In that exact order.

31. Experience some of these things with someone I love.

32, Mentor someone.

33. Change someone’s life.

Go out there and make your own list! Cross things off, one by one, year by year. Live and live fully.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
