Oh, college football. No football team (or anybody else at the university) likes to lose, but that fear of losing is multiplied when it is somebody you have a rivalry with. In 1917, the word "Bedlam" was first used to describe the rivalry between Oklahoma State University and University of Oklahoma. The word was then put on the back burner until 1943 when it was revitalized in another newspaper.

Bedlam 2015 put the Sooners ahead 85-18-7. In 2012, the first Bedlam game that resulted in overtime occurred, with OU beating OSU 51-48. This rivalry has been a prominent one for many years, and students/fans from both schools have strongly supported their school through it all.

As a student of Oklahoma State University and a long-time Cowboy football fan, I hate to see OSU lose. Here are 11 things that I would rather do than lose to OU.

1. Re-live 7th grade

2. Fall down the front stairs of Morrill in front of 1,000 people

3. Swim in Theta pond

4. Get back with my ex

5. Run a marathon with no training

6. Fail every single one of my finals

7. Get a championship 70 years late

8. Get knocked over by a long boarder

9. Stand in the middle of Kansas with a lightning rod in the middle of spring

10. Show my family my grades

11. Give up coffee

12. Swim with sharks while bleeding

13. Get braces for 10 years

14. Get charged for printing in the library

15. Have all 8 am lectures for the rest of my life

16. Sleep through all of my finals

17. Get rejected by my crush in front of both of our friends

18. Step on a lego

19. Step on 50 legos

20. Lose my keys

21. Get a(nother) parking ticket

22. Live in the Insidious house

23. Like my crushes picture from 88 weeks ago

24. Never watch Netflix again

25. Shave off my eyebrows

26. Lock my keys in my car at 2am

27. Take Organic Chemistry 4 times

28. Not study for any of my finals

29. Not study for anything

30. Take cold showers for the rest of my life

31. Attempt to survive "Naked and Afraid" in Antarctica

32. Read my history text book for fun

There are many things that I would rather do than lose to OU at Bedlam. Go Pokes, y,all.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
