31 Thoughts On Pentatonix's "Hallelujah"

Pentatonix released their music video for their cover of "Hallelujah" on October 21. I immediately had to listen this delightful surprise and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Here are my initial reactions to PTX's beautiful piece of art from the point-of-view of a fan and the point-of-view of a fellow musician:

1. Wow. Scott's voice.

2. How do they hum so gracefully?

3. This video is intense.

4. AVI HAS A SOLO!! WHAT!?! YES!!

5. Ugh, his voice is so clear.

5. Music makes me SO emotional.

6. Kirstin is literally goals.

7. "Love is not a victory march!"

8. The runs.

9. They're doing a crazy good job at making sure that all their voices are balanced.

10. Mitch would be a better soprano than me.

11. Correction, Mitch is a better soprano than me.

12. So much humming...

13. Isn't their vibrato so perfect

14. The color of their voices are all so different, they blend so well. How?

15. Ooooooh....

16. Their clothes are all so matchy matchy.

17. I want to be good at body percussion.

18.End consanants are so important and theirs are just fabulous.

19. If my vowels were as good as theirs, I might just die a little from happiness

20. The emotion in their voices is unbelievable.

21."IT'S A COLD AND IT'S A BROKEN HALLELUJAH"

22. Kevin is so under appreciated...

23. They look so much cooler when they walk than I do.

24. What a talented bunch.

25. Also, what a fashionable bunch..

26. I wish I could hit those notes.

27. Their dyamics were heavenly...

28. More humming...

29. I'm literally crying, LOL.

30. The ending low note though...

31. THAT WAS SO GOOD, I'M DEAD.

They're great! Keep up the amazing work!!

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
