30 Thoughts Every College Girl Has On A Daily Basis While On Campus
GA Gives Day

It's safe to say that my mind is pretty much running 24/7 non-stop.

Most of the thoughts that occur on campus are actually pretty random, but there are certain ones that run through my mind just about every single day. With that, here are 30 different thoughts that run through my mind daily on campus:

1. "Why did I think it was a good idea to take an 8:30 a.m. class?"

2. "Either I'm the world's fastest walker or this person in front of me is slow as shit."

3. "I almost tripped and that kid over there definitely saw it"

4. "Why didn't (insert name of Tinder boy) text me back? I thought we were going somewhere"

5. "I hope no one hears my obvious heavy breathing after walking up a couple flights of stairs"

6. "The wind just royally f*cked up my hair and now everyone's looking at me like I'm a disheveled mess"

7. "Oh! I just passed the guy I hung out with over the weekend, but I am honestly too sober to go and say hi to him so I'll just put my hoodie up and keep my head down"

8. "This girl on the shuttle is literally taking up both seats so now I have to strategically place my butt all the way on the edge while making sure I don't fall off"

9. "I f*cking hate people"

10. "But at the same time, I want to meet more people"

11. "I am literally a walking contradiction"

12. "My eyeliner is definitely smudged by now so it's time to cover up my face and run back to my room"

13. "Oh, my 1 o'clock got canceled? Guess it's time to make the executive decision to cancel the rest of my classes"

14. "You know what that means"

15. "IT'S TIME FOR FOOOOOOD"

16. "Okay got to relax now, you can't have people seeing your excitement for food in the marketplace"

17. "Stay cool"

18. "That guy over there is one handsome man"

19. "But my social anxiety won't let me go over there and talk to him so just keep walking"

20. "This wind seriously messes with my hair so much"

21. "Why did I think it was a good idea to go to school on such a cold and windy campus"

22. "Why did I think it was even a good idea to go to school in the first place"

23. "That's it, I'm dropping out"

24. "I could be a stripper"

25. "Strippers make bank"

26. "I can't strip; way too awkward for that"

27. "Okay fine, I won't drop out even though it's what my heart desires"

28. "I can't keep being the family disappointment"

29."I miss home"

30. "Is it Friday yet"

Being away at school where I step foot on the same campus every single day has brought upon these random and consistent thoughts. I am sure many of you college students can relate to all of these- okay; maybe not all, but I am sure the majority of this list you can. Keep on going with your inner monologues!

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. 1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.
