Like many other college students, I hate studying. It's hard to concentrate on anything for an extended amount of time that isn't Netflix. However, as a college student, it's essentially our main job to study all of the things we've learned in class. Most of the time studying doesn't go exactly as planned. We get distracted and try to refocus, but we somehow find ourselves doing pretty much everything else but studying. While studying it's easy for our minds to wander to a million different places. Here are 30 thoughts students have while studying.

1. Okay, I have midterms coming up. I should get a head start and make flash cards.

2. Did we learn that?

3. I haven't checked my Twitter in a few hours, I should probably just do a quick look.

4. Oh, my best friend tweeted a link to their new Instagram picture, let me check it out.

5. Might as well look at everyone's Instagram.

6. Right, studying. I need to get back on track.

7. I have such ugly handwriting. Are there ways to practice that?

8. Did my phone go off?

9. No one texted me but since I'm on my phone might as well check Snapchat.

10. I should call my mom.

11. Back to studying.

12. This seems important I'll highlight this *highlights entire page*

13. I should take a study break soon.

14. I'm kind of hungry maybe I'll make some pasta.

15. Now that I ate, maybe I can get some work done.

16. I really liked that girl's outfit at the bar last night. Let me see if I can find it somewhere online.

17. Maybe for the midterm, it’ll be stuff I actually know so I don’t have to study as much.

18. I don’t want to over-study and forget all the information I studied.

19. Maybe I should turn my phone off or turn on do not disturb.

20. My professor gave us such short notice on this. Like why hasn’t he been reminding us?

21. Oh yeah, I forgot I have to look at the syllabus every week to remind myself.

22. I’m too tired for this.

23. A nap would be awesome right now, I should really take one. How am I supposed to study when I’m this tired?

24. Someone tagged me in a thing on Facebook, obviously I have to check it immediately. Might as well take a scroll through.

25. I just wanna check what shows are on Netflix right now. I want some ideas for what to watch tonight after I study. I only have 10 minutes left in Stranger Things might as well finish it up.

26. Wait am I following all of them on social media? I have to make sure I keep up with them. Since I’m on their page I might as well stalk.

27. I just realized three hours have passed and I haven’t even started studying.

28. Is that kid in my class? I should ask him if he’s even started to study.

29. Okay, now I’m gonna seriously study.

30. Oh my god is the library really closing already?

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
