30 Things Women Can Relate To

The struggles and beauty of being a woman.

To start off, it's not easy being a woman. The amount of money and time we spend on haircuts, clothes, beauty products — I could write a whole other post about all the things women spend extra money and time on compared to men (I'll save that for a later time). How about when mother nature comes to visit us once a month and turns us into a freshly shaved head Britney Spears on the loose ready to destroy anyone or anything that comes across our path? There are so many small struggles women have to face daily that men will never realize, but that's what can make us mentally stronger than men. We may take our selfie game too seriously at times and we may splurge on high heels that we can't walk in, but that's what being a woman is all about. This list is meant to show the humorous side of most women's daily struggles and things that all of us women could relate to. So grab a bag of popcorn and read on:

1. That diet that starts every Monday and usually ends by Monday night. (Drinking Diet Coke means I'm on a diet...right?)

2. When you dress up nice you see nobody, but when you look like death you happen to run into everyone you know.

3. Having a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear.

4. Hardest decision weekly: Picking out a nail polish color. (Will it be Mint Candy Apple or Turquoise & Caicos?)

5. Also, not knowing a thing the ladies are saying to you while you're getting a manicure but just smiling at them and acting like they aren't talking about you.

6. When we ask you to take a picture, PLEASE get full body unless we say otherwise. We didn't wear these 5-inch heels for nothing!

7. Flashing almost everyone on the beach when a wave hits you.

8. Same goes for sundresses and flowy skirts that are no match against any sort of air or wind.

9. Having so many Bath & Body Works hand sanitizers but have you actually ever finished a bottle? I haven't.

10. Having a minimum of one photo editing app on your phone. (Like I said, we take our selfies seriously, especially if we're uploading them to Instagram.)

11. You once owned a Juicy Couture sweatsuit that you wore with your Coach wristlet.

12. The fear that we get before getting our eyebrows waxed or a hair cut.

13. Britney Spears was a childhood idol of yours (pre/post going crazy and shaving her head).

14. After you send a text, it feels like centuries before the guy finally answers (except it was only two minutes).

15. When you post a picture on Snapchat and know you look fine and the guy who you like sees it.

16. Getting so lost in a TV series that you forget the actors are actually just actors and not your BFFs.

17. Getting a random crush on strangers. (Yeah, I'm talking about the cutie who just held the door open for you that you'll be lucky to ever see again in your life.)

18. Owning multiple pairs of leggings.

19. Eating a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream in one sitting. (We've all done it, don't lie.)

20. Having to wait for a public restroom because there's ALWAYS a line.

21. Having a fitness board on Pinterest and never doing a single workout from there (same goes for that recipe board).

22. Also having a wedding board on Pinterest even if you've never been in a relationship before.

23. If we need to shave, add at least 15 minutes to our shower time.

24. We all know what 5 for $25 means.

25. Getting burnt multiple times trying to style your hair.

26. Blinking while putting on mascara — the worst!.

27. We may have just met you, but we've already done a good amount of "investigating" to figure out more through social media. (Can you major in this? Just asking for a friend...)

28. That moment you finally get to take off your bra for the day.

29. When you only have one hair tie, and it snaps. (Thick hair ladies, I feel you on this one.)

30. Tip for men: Flowers will brighten up any woman's day.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Advice To Live By As Told By Bob's Burgers

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
