Summer is that time of year when stress doesn't exist, the days feel longer, and your biggest concern is whether or not you'll have enough money to buy those concert tickets. Whether you're studying for your last exam, or still have three more to go, believe it or not, summer is within your reach. It may not feel like it with the 60 degree weather in May, but I think we can all agree that we're looking forward to this three month break regardless.

If we work hard now, we can walk out of that last exam with the confidence we need to take on the summer. There is no better feeling than knowing you did your best in school and then rewarding yourself with a fulfilling summer. While you may feel mentally drained right now, there are so many things to look forward to that can easily lift your spirits. Here are a few things to look forward to this summer to give you the energy and mood boost you need to power through those last few exams:

1. Outdoor summer concerts

2. Late night bonfires

3. Stepping outside barefoot

4. Going for a run/walk

5. Bike rides

6. Summer drinks

7. Napping in the sun

8. Laying out by the pool

9. Looking in the mirror and feeling tan

10. Days without makeup

11. Fresh sheets

12. Opening windows with a breeze

13. Fresh fruit

14. Driving with the windows down

15. Listening to your favorite songs

16. Spontaneous road trips

17. The farmer's market

18. Flowers

19. Going to the beach

20. Ice cream

21. Longer days

22. Seeing friends you haven't seen in a while

23. Sundresses

24. Sleeping in

25. Reading

26. Watermelon

27. Exploring new places

28. Outdoor lunch dates

29. Self-care

30. Yoga

While everything may feel like it's the end of the world right now, just remember that summer is a few days away and this is actually just the beginning. Remember to take care of yourself this summer, and never forget to have a good time. After all, in three more months school starts up again, so let's live stress-free while we can.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
