30 Things I'd Like To Thank My Roommate For

Without my roommate, I'd probably be dead on the side of the road somewhere. I know for sure that if I ended up with someone else, my college experience would have been completely different. I'd be missing out on so many laughs, funny memories, and late night orders of pizza fries. To my roommate, thanks for being my favorite person on campus and making even the worst days seem not so bad. Heres 30 things I'd like to thank you for:

1. Being able to make me laugh in any situation

2. Sitting in the lib with me (even though we don't ever get anything done)

3. Hating the same people as me

4. Always being down to order Chinese food, Pete's Pizza, or go to Larry's at 1 AM

5. Making bad decisions with me

6. But always making sure that I'm safe

7. Being my partner in crime

8. Taking a million pictures of me before we go out

9. Going hard with me at Campion brunch

10. Listening to me complain about boys

11. Changing me into my pajamas when I fall asleep in my formal dress

12. Putting my blanket in the dryer when I'm cold

13. Making mac and cheese for us when we're drunk and not burning the house down

14. Not judging me for how much food I can eat

15. Always having the best pre game playlist

16. Being the craziest person I know (in a good way)

17. Letting me know when my hair/makeup/outift looks bad

18. Taking me to your date party

19. Keeping guard while I pee in the bushes

20. Being the perfect duet partner

21. Instantly sending me snapchats whenever we're apart

22. Being a reliable Instagram like

23. Letting me borrow your clothes

24.Being quiet when I'm taking a nap

25. Telling me when I need to chill

26. Pouring a glass of water for me after a night out

27. Helping me eat all the chocolate from room bomb

28. For keeping me up to date on pop culture

29. Be ready to wreck any boy that messes with me

30. For being my best friend

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
