30 Reasons Why You Can't Live Without Your Mom

Mothers. They literally brought about our existence. They're everything you hope and aspire to be when you grow up. Let's be honest, you'd be completely lost without her. As you get older- you realize there are just some things you couldn't do without her.

  1. Who else will you argue with you on the phone and end the conversation with "I love you, too."
  2. You'll never be able to hang a leveled picture or shelf by yourself.
  3. They know all the home remedies to fix your pain/illness.
  4. She always knows what advice to give you. Even when you're in a situation she doesn't particularly like.
  5. She gave you birth. Say, "Thank You." You literally couldn't live without her.
  6. She'll always make sure you don't go hungry.
  7. And she always knows your favorite foods.
  8. They'll answer your phone call at any time of the day, for any amount of time.
  9. She knows exactly what to do to cheer you up.
  10. She'll tell you when you should change your clothes... Or put on some make up.
  11. She puts up with you and your friends vulgar gossiping, even though she cringes at the information.
  12. She gives the best hugs. Nothing's better than a mom-hug.
  13. They tell you the things you NEED to hear, though you might not want to hear them.
  14. You can always count on a text asking you to update her about Pop Culture. Ex) What's a Trap House? What is bae? Who is Bobby Shmurda?
  15. She'll always pick you up when you need a ride.
  16. You can count on a cute note ending with "XOXO, MOM" in your lunch bag.
  17. She's your #1 Fan!
  18. You're always good for at least one Instagram like.
  19. She gives the BEST care packages.
  20. When you move away, you can inherit her sweatshirts so it's like you're still cuddling at night.
  21. Your friends are like your sisters/brothers. Your friends are like her daughters/sons.
  22. She's always down for a shopping trip. And is always down not to tell your father.
  23. Big Macs at 2am... Let's go.
  24. Let's be honest- some days, she's the only person you call or text.
  25. "You look just like your mother."
  26. She's always excited for you, no matter how big or small the news is.
  27. She remembers all the childhood memories you wish you could remember.
  28. She'll tell the embarrassing stories and show the embarrassing pictures to your crush. (You secretly love it.)
  29. When you meet people from her work, they'll already know everything about you from the stories she tells and the shrine of pictures on her desk.
  30. No matter what, she loves you unconditionally.

Love ya, girl!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
