It's that time of year again - move-in time!

As the school year rapidly approaches, you may be asking yourself - how should I decorate my dorm room? Especially if this is your first time going to college, you might have no idea how to design a cozy, stylish space that you'll also be able to get work done in.

You should have a room that you're proud of, that you want to show off to your friends, and most importantly, that makes you happy to be there.

Here are 30 college dorm rooms that just might spark some inspiration.

1. So separate, yet so put-together.

2. Those dark hues. That backdrop. Those lights.

3. I'm living for this wash-out color scheme.

4. The placement of these lights is so unique.

5. OKAY, come THROUGH, extra space!!

6. Kill me with those vibrant colors. And look at all the plants!

7. The white/cream color scheme is where it's at this fall.

8. That blue is precious, and I'm here for that picture collage.

9. That silver and blue with the lights? SHUT UP.

10. I'm crying for everything in this photo. The backdrop, the lights, the floral pillows, the ruffly bedspread, the peaches-and-cream colors.

11. This backdrop + canopy combo.

12. Loving the cool gray vibe of this room and the cute sarcastic signs.

13. That lash pillow is giving me life. Not to mention the spherical lanterns, the Chanel easel, and the magical photo collages.

14. This isn't even a room, but seriously you guys. Look how precious these little Christmas light jars are. And they'd be so easy to make.

15. I'm obsessed with every single one of these wall decorations.

16. COME THROUGH, HAMMOCK.

17. I am a gigantic fan of the "desk-under-the-bed" setup, and I love how these pictures line the wall. Also, spherical lanterns.

18. SHUT. UP. The pictures. The curtain. The bedding. The color scheme. The EVERYTHING.

19. I'm so here for that tapestry, and how the lights are strung on it. Also that poop pillow.

20. The way these lights hang off the bed. I'm living.

21. The wall decorations are so on point. And where can I get that pink rose pillow?

22. Every single thing about this. Shut up.

23. There's that cute ass lash pillow again. NEED.

24. All. White. EVERYTHING. That bed-skirt is heaven.

25. Peep the "Broken Dreams BLVD" sign. Shout-out Green Day.

26. Do these colors not just scream "FALL!!!!!!!!!!!" .. to you?

27. This tapestry may be the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen.

28. This makeshift canopy is breathing air into my lungs. I absolutely love that lantern, too. How yo lights strung so perfectly?

29. This has to be the coziest looking corner ever.

30. From the tapestry, to the string lights, to the Ying-Yang pillow, to the "Sun Child" sign, to the dream catcher... this is a VIBE, ya'll.

Well, I'm off to go redesign my dorm now.

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.

The dynamics of any friend group are usually determined by the personalities which make it up. Chances are, while personalities may overlap, each person in your friend group holds his or her own place. It is the differences which bring the groups together and keep them functioning.
