30 Days of Thanks

We've all seen the Instagram photo challenges for giving thanks, but I decided to make us a list of 30 things to be thankful for. We shouldn't do this just through November, but we should all be grateful for these things every single month ( and day for that matter).

    1. Life- Whether its yours or someone else's (spouse, kids, bf/gf).
    2. Family- You'll always have someone to see everyday or talk to occasionally.
    3. Home- Whether it's temporary or forever, you have somewhere to go.
    4. Nature- I'd go crazy without my monthly mountain trip.
    5. Faith- Faith allows you to believe in something that you can not see- we all need that.
    6. Memories- Eventually they're all we have left.
    7. Pets- They're our furry family members.
    8. Tradition- That's something we have to look forward to that’s like a sin to break.
    9. Dessert- WHO ISN'T THANKFUL FOR DESSERT?!
    10. Color- Just that one favorite color makes you happy every time you see it.
    11. Music- Without it the world would be silent.
    12. Love- It gives you that weird warm and fuzzy feeling.
    13. Travel- How else could we see the surrounding beauty of our world for ourselves?
    14. Friends- They know what's going on with you with just one look.
    15. Teachers- They didn't just give us tests, but they became our friends and family.
    16. Weekends- We all need a time to breathe and relax.
    17. Veterans- Without them our country wouldn't be where it is today.
    18. Community- Your community is your big happy extended family.
    19. Trials- They suck, but we learn huge life lessons from them.
    20. Technology- Our world has flourished in discoveries with it.
    21. Talent- We should honestly thank God every day for our talents He has given us.
    22. Food- Like seriously how could we not be thankful for food? Its amazing and keeps us alive.
    23. Charities- While we are with our families, they are helping the helpless.
    24. Photos- They hold our most precious memories at a stand still.
    25. Kindness- One act and it changes everyone's day.
    26. Transportation- We couldn't go far without it.
    27. Sports- Baseball, Volleyball, Football, etc. They make you happy.
    28. Sunshine- Sunshine makes me the happiest especially when you can feel it warm up your soul.
    29. The sound of rain- I just saw you smile. It's my favorite sound too. Let it soothe you.
    30. Tomorrow- It's not promised, but you're thankful when you wake up every morning.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
