Although the "Harry Potter" series is fantasy fiction, there are still times where we relate to the characters. Here are 30 college situations we relate to:

1. When your professor asks if you bought the correct textbook for class:

Let me check the volume number, title, and author, Professor.

2. When your jealous classmate is surprised you're succeeding in class:

Yes, dude. I know how to read and pay attention in class. Maybe focusing on bettering yourself would help you more than complaining.

3. When you're hoping for good food in the dining hall

Can I join you, Luna?

4. When you try to tell your friends that we're the bigger people than our rivals

A nose.

5. When your classmate reminds you that you have an assignment due

Then let's get this done.

6. When you desperately want to forget that you had a terrible day

Chocolate, Netflix, and friends are the three most crucial ingredients in a forgetfulness potion in case you didn't know, Hermione.

7. When you miss your mom's and grandma's home-cooked meals

Nothing better than a home-cooked meal.

8. The perfect definition of college life

Thanks for the preparation, Ron.

9. When you see your dorm mates doing things they weren't supposed to be doing

Don't smoke less than 20 feet away from the buildings (not at all would be fantastic), don't make noise in the hallways past 10pm, and don't do inconsiderate things.

10. When you want to go to bed and not deal with anyone for the time being

...and decompress from a long, difficult day.

11. When you want to read, but your roommate is sleeping

Thanks for the life hack, Harry.

12. When you and your friends go home for break

We're still going to talk during break.

13. When you and your friends come from break

Back to the real world, kids.

14. THIS KID

Bluntest sentence I have ever heard in my life.

15. When your professor cancels a class

I wonder if our professors dance, too.

16. When you desperately need to leave and clear your head

Of course, any college campus is better than 4 Privet Drive.

17. When you realize it's the weekend

Day to watch Netflix, hang out with your friends, and sleep in with the blinds shut.

18. When finals week arrives and your kicking yourself for stressing out

Way to motivate a student, Snape.

19. When your professors don't report your grades on blackboard

Sure, if you say so.

20. When Valentine's Day arrives

Watch romantic movies and eat a box of chocolates.

21. When you have 2 papers to write, a novel to read in a week, and have had enough of one of your professors

Same, Harry, same.

22. When you try to stand up to your enemy

Petrificus Totalus.

23. When you're sleep-deprived and try to prove you're doing all right

Better than good, I guess?

24. When you go to the tutoring center

Now I'm smarter.

25. The professor you want the most

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

26. The professor you want the least

Umbridge, you're the reason why I can't stand the color pink.

27. When you've simply had enough of hearing people complaining about their lives

I wonder what's it like to not appreciate life lessons.

28. Counting the amount of breakdowns

Records might be higher.

29. When you realize you're not a Hogwarts student

I'll reapply next year, then.

30. When you're having the time of your life

Despite all the crazy times, we still have the times of our lives.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
