I think we can all agree that we are so happy that spring has finally sprung. As we enjoy this beautiful weather, let's realize that us college girls all do the same things this time of year.

1. Wear a sundress or shorts when it is probably still too cold out.

2. Freak out about how pale you are, even though no one else even cares.

3. Daydream about beach days spent soaking up the sun.

4. Then immediately stressing about your summer body.

5. Promise yourself that you will work out everyday to achieve your ideal body.

6. Giving up that dream that same day and eating six bags of Cheetos.

7. Actually shave your legs religiously since people will now see them.

8. Spend the whole day outside when the weather permits.

9. And consequently getting very sunburnt because you forgot about sunscreen.

10. Accepting your burn, because it will turn to tan when in reality you just start to peel.

11. Make the switch from hot coffee to iced coffee.

12. Pack away all your heavier clothes even though there are still days that feel like winter.

13. Instagram pictures of newly bloomed flowers.

14. Make a summer bucket list.

15. Open every window in your room.

16. Then subsequently die from your allergies.

17. Drive around with the windows down.

18. Break out the bright nail polish colors.

19. Start jogging or running daily. By daily, I mean for two days.

20. Walk barefoot through the grass.

21. Listen to the rainstorms.

22. Photograph every rainbow you see.

23. Go watch a baseball game, even if you don’t know anyone on the team.

24. Do homework outside with your friends.

25. Go on Pinterest and pin every summer outfit you wish you owned, but cannot afford.

26. Complain about how chilly it gets at night.

27. Walk around downtown with your friends.

28. Make a list of every country concert you want to go to.

29. Start a countdown till the end of school.

30. Constantly tell everyone how much you love the weather.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
