Fall semester came to an end and we got the well deserved month long break, but for many of us, spring classes are right around the corner. Within the next few weeks, Zoom will become a daily occurrence once again, and for some of us we will have to actually climb out of bed to a classroom. The majority will have lots of trouble getting back into our dreaded class schedules and I am here to hopefully help make that transition just a bit easier.
Here are a few ways to get back into that school work grind and to stay motivated.
Begin waking up earlier even before classes begin.
Photo by Benjamin Voros on UnsplashOur bodies got used to sleeping in a bit later than usual, so let's take the time we have left before the semester begins to get used to waking up. Setting an alarm a half hour to an hour before the late start to the day can make it easier to wake up for classes when we have to. We won't feel as tired and exhausted because we gave ourselves time to build up immunity to early start times.
No more distractions!

Don't forget to focus on your mental health.

It should be more talked about that if something is deteriorating your mental health that it is okay to maybe drop a class or at least contact a professor.
