3 Tips to Help You Improve Your Mood

Feeling upset or a little "off" today? In a world full of irritants, the littlest stressor or inconvenience can send your day into a downward spiral...but it doesn't have to!

It's all about your mindset, self-care, and what you do after the acknowledgement of your bad mood.

#1 Start crossing things off that to do list of yours.

Us ladies usually over-pack our schedules and leave very little room for any type of self-care. This can lead to burnout and a very cranky mood. Take a look at your to-do list and just get started. Make a point to tackle just one thing. Yes, you heard that right, just one! Even if you have a dozen things listed out, don't get overwhelmed with all of those things at once. Just start with one, and it may be enough to give you the motivation to tackle the next task.

Before you know it, that bad mood will go away, and you walk away feeling accomplished with what you got done.

#2 Sweat it Out

We can't ignore the fact that exercise is pretty much a guaranteed way to boost our mood. While we are feeling down , exercise may be the last thing we want to do, but no one regrets a good workout. Once you finish your workout you'll be feeling ten times better than before you started, and walk away knowing, you did something fantastic for your body.

So, open up a fitness app, pick a workout, and get the endorphins flowing. By the time you are done with your Workout you will ask yourself "what bad mood?".

Trust me, just do it; give yourself the little push you need to just get moving.

#3 Pamper Yourself

After you worked out your bad mood consider pampering yourself. Now, this doesn't mean you have to go out and spend lots of money or spend any money at all honestly. Something as simple as curling up with a cup of tea in some comfy clothes on the couch and watching your favorite show is considered self-care!

Have a favorite restaurant? Order take-out. Do something to take care of YOU. It's so easy to forget to take care of ourselves and do things we enjoy, and often times this leads to bad mood after bad mood. Just hit the pause button and take some time to take care of you.

Change that mood!

If you find yourself in a bad mood, don't let it ruin your day. Do one thing on your to-do list to feel more productive and accomplished, get your body moving with a nice workout, and do something to take care of you. I promise these three things will leave you feeling like a better you, refreshed and ready to take on what comes up next.
