Finals week is upon us. And through the chaos of the overcrowded library and the halls full of procrastinating students, here's a few tips for a successful finals week.
1. Study, Don't Procrastinate.
A lot of people just have the mindset that they don't have to study, that they usually get decent grades without spending any time reviewing. But a lot of times a final can either make or break your grade for a class, so why not put in a little extra time studying for a class you're a little iffy in. Don't have too much fun with all the free time you'll have with no classes, use the time wisely and don't procrastinate and just study an hour before an exam. You'll feel a lot more confident and ready for your final exams if you study for them.
2. Take a Stress Relieving Break.
Although it is important to really buckle down and study for your finals, it's also very important to give your mind a rest every now and then. You can't spend 10 hours straight cramming a ton of information into your head, your brain needs a break every few hours. I like to reward myself with a break every few hours by grabbing a snack with my friends, watching a movie,or going to the gym for a while just to get your head clear. It's important to relieve some stress, especially during finals week.
3. Don't Forget to Eat.
A lot of times people lose track of time when they lock themselves in a library study room all day. It's important to not forget to eat because your body also needs energy to keep you on top of your game. A healthy mind and a healthy body are a key to success during finals week.
