3 Things to do Online with Your Friends

Quarantine has been going on for over a month, and so sometimes it seems like there is nothing to do. People are missing their social interaction fix and just hanging out with their friends and family. Well, here are a few ways to connect with your loved ones while still practicing social distancing!

Video chatting!

A great way to hang out with your friends while practicing social distancing is through video chat! There are many apps you can use like FaceTime, Zoom, WebEx, Skype, and Houseparty. You can use this time to catch up and share your quarantine troubles! Video chatting is great for birthday parties too since people should not meet face-to-face.

Playing online multiplayer games!

This is another fun way to spend time with your friends online. Most of my friends have been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons and Minecraft, but free online games like Roblox is also fun as well! In Roblox, I like to play the game Robeats with my friends; it's like Guitar Hero but on your computer!

Making group Tik Toks!

I've seen so many Tik Toks circulating the internet and so I just had to include it on the list! Tik Tok is taking the world by storm and is making everyone put on their creativity hats. Every single day, there's a new funny trend or dance that people all around the world learn and replicate. I saw one trend where friend groups would show themselves before makeup and glam and then after their makeup and glam! Trends like these are inclusive for your friend group and personalizable. They also follow social distancing guidelines since each group member films their part of the video separately. Rather than makeup, the Tik Tok could be a transformation into a Halloween costume -- or anything really! The point is to have fun with your friends and feel connected and fabulous together, even when you're not face-to-face.

I hope you enjoy these activities, and remember to check in on people; you never know what they may be dealing with at this time!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
