3 Things We Miss About Spring Break
Traveloni

Spring break is usually a time of relaxation for students. We get to rest and gain energy for the rest of the semester. No matter what you did during spring break- catch up on school work, go on vacation, work, or just spend time with family, knowing that you didn't have to go to class in the morning was refreshing. Now that we are back at it again, here are the most missed things about spring break:

1. Sleep

During the semester, chronic sleep deprivation is almost a guarantee in a college student's life. Sometimes the weekends just aren't enough to catch up on missed sleep! Spring break is a beautiful time. For the most part, you get to sleep in and catch up, maybe even enough to pay off your sleep debt! Now that we are back at school, the lack of sleep is even worse than it was before break!

2. Freedom

Yeah, some of us may have been worked during the break, but you were still more free to do what you wanted when you wanted over break than when you are in school. You could eat when you wanted, nap when you wanted, and maybe even catch up on that show you haven't been able to watch!

3. Good food

Most college kids live off of dining hall food or ramen. When on spring break, regardless of whether you were at home or on vacation, you ate well! Now that you are back at school, you miss the good food you were able to eat during break.

The only question now is.... how fast can summer get here? Can we skip finals and just go there?

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
