3 Things Everybody Should Know

As we grow up and begin to form our lives over the years, we already understand and know that it is not easy. There are always people bringing you down, telling you what to do, or telling you negative things about yourself. Sometimes it is hard to grow in a world full of hardships and you may struggle but no matter what life throws you, you must never lose faith in the world and most importantly yourself. Learn from mistakes you make and take strength from battles you face to better form your life and you as a person. Now as we build into the adults we are there are three important things we must never forget but also pass down to future generations of children as well:

1.Your purpose is worth more than you will ever know.

Every single life you encounter is here for a reason and meant to be here, including your own. You hold so much power within your heart and soul and so much light and that is something nobody can ever take away from you. If you ever have people belittling you, bringing you down, or making you feel worthless just know that those people do not and will never matter. You are kinder and you are better because you know you would never want to make anyone suffer pain, especially the pain that certain someone put you through. You have a whole life’s purpose to fulfill and your life will fall into place with time. This journey is not easy but I promise it is worth the ride as long as you work your hardest, pursue your passions, and most importantly always keep kindness in your heart and help someone every single chance you get. You are here for a reason so make the absolute best out of your lifetime.

2. You are as strong as you want to be.

Strength does not always mean something physical. Strength is not your appearance or who is stronger than who. Strength is how much capacity you handle when a battle is thrown your way. Strength is your ability to hold your head up high and never change who you are even if everything around you is crashing down. Strength is taking tough situations and growing from them and learning how to make yourself and the world better. Strength is staying strong even when people try to tear you down, but you don’t let them. Strength is having the wisdom to walk away from people or situations that are no longer healthy for your life. You can be as strong as you want to be. The question that stands is how strong will you choose to be the next time life gets tough?

3. Loving yourself is the best thing you can do for you.

With a world full of people, you are never alone. You have your family and friends and certain people you know will never leave your side. The truth is no matter who you have standing by you, sometimes there comes a point where everyone feels alone. You may question yourself as a person or doubt your overall internal and external appearances. You may let someone’s words alter the way you see yourself. The most important thing to learn is that no matter what happens, you truly always must love yourself. At the end of the day you are all you have and only you can take care of yourself and get you where you need to be. When you start to love yourself, your love becomes contagious and everything else falls into place. Every single person is beautiful, important, and special in their own ways. No one can every take away your beauty, heart, and soul. You are one of a kind so please always, love yourself.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
