Being a student in college entails a lot of time sacrificed to school work. Personally, I hardly ever have time to sit down, relax, and eat between classes. That's why I started getting in the habit of packing snacks to take to school for my transitions between classes. This is also a very good strategy because it keeps me from spending money on food at fast food restaurants. I will be explaining how to make these easy yet tasty snacks that will be convenient for when you're on the go.
My favorite thing to eat on a busy day is ham & cheese sliders. First, you get as many slider roll breads as you want. Usually, I get four of these small pieces of bread, which are enough to make two sandwiches. Then I toast the bread with one tablespoon of butter on the surface. I bake it with about one teaspoon of poppy seeds on the top. After my bread has been baked, I then add the ham which is usually one slice per sandwich. Next, I add the condiments. I always add Dijon mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. These condiments are really what make these ham & cheese sliders so tasteful.
Another easy snack to make is bacon wrapped barbecue chicken bites. The name makes it sound very complicated, but making this snack really isn't. What I do is I pop boneless wings into the microwave. As soon as these chicken wings are ready, I wrap them in bacon. After this, I add my condiment which is usually barbecue sauce, hence the name of this snack, or honey mustard. Afterward, I stick toothpicks into the wrapped chicken bites which is the final step. These are very easy to make and are super tasty as well. Making these bites takes me about five to ten minutes only.
My final snack, my personal favorite, is the "loaded tater tot."Just like the wrapped chicken bites, you need slices of bacon. You will also need grated cheese, and for me it varies how much cheese I put on mine because it depends on how I feel. Once you have your tater tots ready to be put into the microwave, sprinkle cheese on top and tiny pieces of torn up bacon bits. Pop these into the microwave for as long as the tater tot instructions say. You will need a few skewers, which is basically a very long tooth pick to hold the food together. Once your tots are ready, gather a couple in a line and stick the skewer into the couple of tater tots. I usually have about six tater tots per skewer. When you're ready to eat your snack, you will definitely not regret the process.
I recommend you trying to make one of these fast and tasty snacks because it will be the highlight of your day after a long class.
