On days of down pour, you and your boo may not want to follow through on those plans you had outside. Maybe you just want to stay indoors and cuddle. The following are some ways to keep each other entertained in your company:

1. Movies

A must. Have you ever heard of a rainy day without it? Find some feel good or even some scary movies. Find the perfect movie for a rainy day. “Singing in the Rain,” anyone?

2. Baking

It’s a rare pastime for some but perfect for when you’re home doing nothing with a loved one. What better way to keep cozy and have fun but to break out the measuring cups and flour and get messy? Perhaps a batch of cookies or cupcakes can make a cozy day even cozier.

3. Puzzles

They are an act of patience and kill time without you even noticing. An interesting way to put your heads together and even spark interesting conversation as you try to solve it, a puzzle can help you connect and learn more about your significant other in an intellectual way.

Just because you're inside doesn't mean your day with that special person has to be boring. In fact, some of the best days and memories you can create with that person start right at home.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
