For the last few months we as a country and a generation have been trying to understand how someone like Donald Trump could run for president. After the last two debates we have witnessed I am sure majority of our generation has become confused as to who to vote for and why, and some have come to the conclusion of not voting at all. As it seems to many voting just is not worth the stress of who will become Commander in Chief. The question has come down to whether or not we should choose who the lesser evil would be or just sit on our hands until the election is over. Here's 3 reasons why I will not be voting for Trump:
1. Make America Great Again
America has never been great unless you ask the wealthy whites who would find many reasons to tell you otherwise. Clearly majority of them would agree with the slogan because they were the ones who ran the country. For blacks and anyone brown however, America has never really been great for any of us, so for us we ask the question: When exactly was America ever considered great?
2. He's A Bully
There's no way that you can tell me that the second debate was not an exact example of Trump being a bully. Who brings out all of the women that the husband slept with just to get a reaction out of the wife? There was no reason to do it other than to humiliate and shame Hillary. Who wants a Bully for president?
3. I Am Considered A Minority
Which for means a plethora of things. I am Black. I am a Woman. There is no way I can vote for a man who for one does not respect people of color, because honestly we didn't ask to be brought here to build a country that we would never inherit. I also cannot see myself voting for anyone who believes that sexual assault and harassment are okay.
Aside from being a horrible businessman, being racist, and believing that he is above any and everything this country needs I am sure Donald may actually somewhere deep down inside be a cool guy, at least to his family he is. But as a college student voting in a presidential election, I rather vote for someone who knows what this country needs, has sat around for years trying to make sure women have a voice, not to mention she already knows how the White House is ran (she's been around for quite some time).
