If you haven't heard of the Netflix Original Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, here's a quick plot overview: Kimmy Schmidt is a woman who was kidnapped and held in an underground bunker for 15 years by an insane reverend who taught that they, along with 3 other women in the bunker, were the only survivors of an apocolypse. When they are finally found, Kimmy decides to start a new life in New York City. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is an uplifting comedy that anyone can enjoy. Here are 3 reasons that everyone should watch it!

1. It is simply hilarious

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is funny for so many reasons, one major reason being that Kimmy is so adorably immature (but at the same time, she is entirely mature). Because she'd been in an underground bunker entirely cut off from the outside world for all of her teen years and early adulthood, Kimmy is completely unaware of how to act in today's society. She's a 29-year-old woman that dresses, speaks, and acts like a 14-year-old, which makes her irresistably funny.

2. It has some great advice

Even though Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a comedy, the characters experience real life problems and some seriously heartbreaking issues. Being that she was trapped underground for 15 years and basically started her life from nothing, Kimmy has some really great advice on how to get through it all. Kimmy teaches that we can get through anything, overcome any obstacle, and build ourselves up even from ground zero. Sometimes her advice is kind of wacky, but it can truly help anyone in their personal life. Watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt gives people inspiration and motivation to push through whatever setbacks they might be facing.

3. Kimmy is exactly the person we should all strive to be

Confident, positive, and living without fear of failure, Kimmy sets a great example for us. In today's society, as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt so beautifully illustrates, people always seem to be doubtful, unsatisfied, fearful, and negative in their day-to-day lives. Kimmy challenges this by always keeping a smile on her face. She is always of help when someone needs her, performs random acts of kindness, and strives to be the very best she can be. Even when really sucky things happen to her, she stays positive. We should all try to be a little bit more like Kimmy Schmidt.

In conclusion, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is an incredible show and everyone should be watching it. Current Kimmy Fans cannot wait for the third season to come to Netflix! Get out there are start Kimmying!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
