This season, NBC produced a new series called “This is Us”. According to NBC, “This is Us” provides a smart and modern dramedy that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know as it portrays the lives of a unique family.

The first time I watched “This is Us”, I fell in love with the show. It follows the life of three children in present day and the three children with their mother and father during their childhood. The show has many amazing actresses and actors including Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, Sterling Brown, and the list goes on. “This is Us” grasps the everyday struggles in life such as being overweight in society, growing up as an adopted black child in a predominantly white family, how fame can have its flaws, and glimpses of racism in today’s society.

If you have nothing to do on a Tuesday night or want to sit on your couch and binge watch a show, then “This is Us” is a must watch.

1. There's so many Emotions!

When I watched the first episode, I was left in a state of not knowing what to feel, all the emotions were flowing through me. Throughout the episode, I felt happy, sad, angry, loving, and so many more emotions that made me fall in love with the characters. You smile when Jack and Rebecca take home the big three, get angry when Rebecca and Jack lose their third child, you feel sad when you see Kate struggling with her weight, and you feel a sense a love when you see the moment where Jack and Dr. Katowsky have a father to father chat. I can’t get enough of it!

2. Actors & Actresses Galore!

There are so many wonderful actors and actresses who play in “This is Us”. There is Milo Ventimiglia who plays Jack, Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate, Justin Hartley who plays Kevin, Sterling Brown who plays Randall, Ron Jones who plays William, and Mandy Moore who plays Rebecca. Mandy Moore plays such an excellent role as Rebecca. She somewhat plays two roles: one being a mother during Kate, Randall’s, and Kevin’s childhood, and a mother/grandmother when her kids are older. Rebecca is portrayed as a strong[MM1] women who is focused on her family and won’t stop until they feel loved. Again, there so many emotions to feel.

3. It’s so relatable

From being overweight, to being adopted, the struggle with fame, and racial incidents, “This is Us” shows the viewer everyday problems that occur in family. We see Kate struggling with being overweight and how to find love while focusing on losing the weight. Then there is Randall who is a of color and gets adopted in a predominately white family. Kevin struggles with fame and starts to realize that there is better things in life than being famous and William who in one of the episodes, gets questioned in a rich community because of his color of his skin. You can see, it is hard not to watch this show because most of us can relate to this show in one way.

If you like to cry, laugh, get angry and yell, then “This is Us” will help you achieve your emotional side.

So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
