As the NBA season is approaching, here are three reasons why the NBA season, If you lived under a rock during the month of July and missed free agency, here is what you need to know; a lot of people went to different teams and some of these people are superstars.
1. Super Teams
If you ask Derrick Rose there are two super teams in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knick. Lets not kid our selves, the Knicks aren't on the same level as the Warriors. Sure the Knicks will be fun to watch, but they don't have four all-stars in their prime. All though a lot of people hate the Warriors for signing Kevin Durant, you can't deny that they will be fun to watch. On the Warriors, you have two time MVP Stephen Curry, gold medalist Klay Thompson, MVP Kevin Durant, gold medalist Draymond Green, and who can forget two time Shaqtin a Fool MVP Javale McGee.
2. Rookies
This NBA draft had some really good rookies like Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, Kris Dunn, and Dragen Bender just to name a few. It will be very interesting to see how these rookies will play in their first NBA games. When you look at the situations Dunn, Ingram, and Simmons are in, they are all paired with good young talent. Kris Dunn is paired with Andrew Wiggins, Karl Anthony Towns, and Zach Lavine now that is a super team in the making. Brandon Ingram is paired up with DeAngelo Russell, Julius Randle, and Jordan Clarkson.
3. Homecomings
Every NBA season we look forward to the rivalries and homecoming games for superstars that left long time teams, and this year is no different. February 11 is a big date, one its right before the all-star weekend, and two it is when Kevin Durant returns to Oklahoma City. You can expect that he will get some really loud boos. Long time Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade left the Heat to join the Bulls, and his first trip back to south beach will be on November 10th. Lastly we can't forget about the reigning champions hosting the super team on Christmas Day as the Warriors head to the Q to have LeBron James.
